Friday after work I picked up the kiddos as usual and headed home to start the daunting task of setting up for the garage sale. Granna picked the kiddos up around 7:00, I turned up the radio and we got to shuffling our feet. I had my friends Heather and Jenne come over for a few hours to price items then my Aunt Shannon pulled up the rear by helping me set everything up/out for display. Finally hitting the sack around 12:30 - we were up again at 6:00 ready for the sale to begin. A very cold and cloudy day made for a sssssllllooooowwww go at things but I made a couple hundred bucks and have plenty of crap greatness for the spring garage sale.
Saturday we closed up shop around 2:00 and I headed out to get the kiddos from Granna so we could go stay the night at Granny's house and hit up the State Fair on Sunday with the fam.
Not 3 minutes from my Granny's house - some kid merges into my line cause he was on the phone talking and not paying attention. No big deal - no one was hurt and it will get fixed in the end!!!!
After all day in the cold what better way to warm up with a bowl of Granny's Broccoli Beer/Cheese Soup, cornbread and applie pie. Sweet mother of pearl I was one happy camper :)
Sunday was spent at the Great State Fair of Texas
I'm glad you made some money!! I love garage sales-- but you're right, it's a lot of work. Can I come over for lunch at Granny's house? All that food looked delicious. :)
